NEW HOOGENDOORN OPERATION ESTABLISHED
THE FUTURE OF PROCESS AUTOMATION
The Netherlands,
Advanced technology and new insights will make it possible to customize process automation to a much more extensive degree than at present. Requirements in the measuring and control system markets are changing. New insights are emerging. And Innocom by Hoogendoorn is completely focused on these new developments.
A new philosophy, a new approach and inventiveness call for a new operation within Hoogendoorn: Innocom (IT) B.V. – focussing on the innovation of markets, products and business models.
Innocom was born out of the realisation that the market for process automation and control systems is subject to considerable change. There is a need for customization, for control and regulation based on much increased know-how from a lot more sources, for specialized (crop-specific) software. To say it succinctly, Innocom will offer "Customized IT", and that's also the banner under which Hoogendoorn's new operation is trading.
Advanced technologies, web-based methodology and open source software are meant to make such developments possible and support them.
Such a new vision requires a new way of thinking and working, but also a structure wholly of its own. That’s why Hoogendoorn will provide sources of knowledge, people and finance for this project as fast as possible, considerably increasing the chances for the success of this approach.
The importance of Innocom is emphasized even further by the fact that Peter van Duijn, the current director of Hoogendoorn Growth Management, will head the new operation. Van Duijn knows the market like no other and has worked to strengthen Hoogendoorn's position and products in the international greenhouse horticulture industry for the past 12 years, with a proven track record of success.
The management of Hoogendoorn Growth Management will be taken over by Jos van Calsteren. Van Calsteren has some 20 years of experience with the management of Hoogendoorn. With products and services such as iSii, Letsgrow.com, solutions for semi-closed growing, Nomad and Sensiplant, Hoogendoorn's position has become stronger and more discerning over the past years.
Hoogendoorn Growth Management's ambition is to consolidate their position over the years to come. Innocom is meant to provide an impulse for the further development, continuity and service of Hoogendoorn's current automation products for the horticultural greenhouse sector. There should be quite a few new perspectives opening up in the area of process automation for this sector in the future!
